This particular project is based on the Mercedes Sprinter 170 EXT AWD, one of the largest Sprinter models available. The extra length allowed designers to create a spacious interior while maintaining a clean and minimalist layout.
The couple who commissioned the van wanted a vehicle capable of handling long cross-country trips between Minnesota and California. They also wanted enough room to entertain guests and travel comfortably with their pet.
Inside the Camper Van: Four Distinct Living Spaces
At first glance, the van looks surprisingly simple from the outside. Finished in Selenite Gray, it features only a few clues that reveal its true purpose, including roof-mounted solar panels, an awning, and side windows.
Inside, however, the story is completely different.
Unlike many camper conversions that rely on wood framing, Nook Vans used aluminum construction to reduce weight and improve durability. The interior is divided into four main zones: a lounge, kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom.
The living area serves as the heart of the van. Two custom benches face each other, creating a comfortable space for relaxing, dining, or spending time with friends. Large windows and the sliding door bring in natural light, making the interior feel open and airy.
